CBC News in Review is a multimedia, educational resource designed to inform and teach students from grades 8-12 about important current events and themes in Canada and the world. This online tool is made up of a 60-minutes video, produced by CBC News, divided into 4 distinct segments, and a comprehensive Resource Guide written by a team of experienced Canadian teachers.
To access the videos and the guides, teachers need to create a free account at LearnNow BC (http://www.learnnowbc.ca/) making sure to use their school district email address to trigger the appropriate access for their account. Once the account has been created and verified, access to CBC - News in review (and a host of other resources) can be obtained by clicking on the FOR EDUCATORS link on the left hand side of the page and then clicking on ERAC SERVICES.
